The tires in this category are intended for use in competitive motorsports. They are generally specialized for use in a single type of competition (i.e. drag racing, drifting, rally, etc.) and most are not intended for street use. There are some exceptions that have been approved for use on public roadways by the Department of Transportation (D.O.T). These tires will be designated as D.O.T. Approved Competition Radials.
